Home Air Conditioning During Hot Summer Months

-->
In some areas of the country, the temperature can get up to 120 degrees during the summer. At these high temperatures, the heat can cause the body to experience dehydration or fever. This is the main reason why air conditioning for home is necessary when summer weather comes in. Once you understand how important home cooling is it's easy to see why people learn HVAC to become a HVAC technician.

Effect of Heat on Infants
As the baby absorbs more heat, their body becomes hotter and they can eventually have a heat stroke.

Effects of Heat on the Elderly.
Extreme heat can make them pass out or experience disorientation.

Heat Stroke
The brain can only properly function in certain temperatures so if the body becomes unable to cool itself off, the body's temperature will sky rocket. An air conditioner allows cool air to circulate in the room as opposed to a fan that only blows room temperature air.

Air Filtering Process
Air conditioners have special air filters that prevent foreign air particles from entering the air that comes out of the AC. Using the Sun and Heat to Help Power AC Units
Though excessive heat can cause a number of problems, the decreasing cost of photovoltaic (PV) panels is making home solar paneling an attractive option.
What many people don't know is that the United States government offers tax credits for consumer energy efficiency.

A tax credit from the federal government can offer real consumer savings. Currently, tax credits are available under the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

What Types Of Tax Credits Are Available?
Consumers are offered tax credits in the following categories:
  • Fuel Cells
  • Home Improvements
  • Solar Energy Systems
Home builders, appliance manufacturers and commercial building owners also qualify for their own unique federal tax credits. If you find yourself in any of these categories you should reference the Energy Star Federal Tax Credit information page:
